The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services on the community.

SASSA might be rendering expert services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency said it's alarmed with regard to the superior range of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The intention with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to click here the significant amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office committed to service the area each day. The services point established for intervention activities a substantial influx of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it difficult for that office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more resources to empower the servicing of all consumers and increase entry to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
